Accumulation by Dispossession

In The New Imperialism, David Harvey argues that one key feature of neoliberal capitalism is that it necessitates “accumulation by dispossession” in order to maintain the system. Accumulation by dispossession is tantamount to theft in the name of capitalism. You can read more about the idea here and here.
