Teaching Feuerbach’s Projection Theory
I haven’t worked out the details, but I’m thinking about teaching Feuerbach’s projection theory of religion by comparing religious traditions to rorschach tests: they ultimately tell you more about yourself than anything else.
What do you think? Any ideas or suggestions?
My one worry is that students won’t have any idea what a rorschach test is and I’ll have to spend more time explaining that than explaining Feuerbach.
